I made the fortunate choice in retaining the services of The Nielsen Group. Mr. Nielsen was compassionate and honest when listening to my case.
My case; possible OUI conviction when stopped by Maine police in Portland, B.A.C. 0.13. I was an executive from out of state with a large company and I was directed to oversee a portion of the business in Portland Maine. I was completing financial expectations for the company and decided to spend this time alone with my laptop in a quiet lounge. I paired this work with a few glasses of wine. I felt alert enough to drive home even though I still had several glasses of wine. The road back was under construction with several large orange cones in the middle of the street. I felt that the lane was directing me to drive around it. Needless to say, this led me into the opposite lane with vehicles headed toward me. Luckily there was no accident, but I was spotted by the Portland Police and eventually pulled over.
Mr. Nielsen made the only possible recommendation which he could make; see the case through and understand that if convicted of OUI I would lose my license. The Nielsen Group especially Shareen kept me in the loop every step of the way. Patiently Mr. Nielsen understood an OUI conviction in Maine would affect my out of state license greatly and would be troublesome to any future employment.
I was expecting to plead guilty to an OUI conviction in the state of Maine with loss of driving privileges, as well as losing my out of state driving privileges. But with Mr. Nielsen’s expertise and experience he was able to speak with the police officer and district attorney to an agreeable outcome with some follow-up obligations. My decision that night to drive after drinking was a poor decision. I am grateful that no one was hurt, and I understand the cost of my decision will never be returned. Ultimately I am grateful that I retained The Nielsen Group to defend me. I still have to fulfill obligations towards my resolution, but my goal was reached to still have my out of state license and still have privileges to drive.
Thank you Mr. Nielsen for your support.
